Effects of Polyacrylamide Mixtures with Different ...

This paper introduced a method to subside red mud slurry using a kind of mixed polyacrylamide (PAM) solutions which composed two different molecular weights (19×106 and 0.8×106). The mixing ratio and feeding method of the different PAMs were investigated. The results show that the sedimentation rate can be obviously increased when using polyacrylamide mixtures.

Oct 15, 2017· Red mud is a by-product of alumina production. Little is known about the long-term fate of red mud constituents in fresh waters or of the processes regulating recovery of fresh waters following pollution control. In 1983, red mud leachate was diverted away from Kinghorn Loch, UK, after many years of polluting this shallow and monomictic lake.

Red Dirt Stain Removal | Hunker

Dec 19, 2017· Particularly prevalent in the South and West but found throughout the United States, red clay soil is quite a nuisance. Like all soil, red clay turns to mud when it's wet and easily finds its way onto clothing, carpets and upholstery. Unlike other soils, however, it is difficult to remove and often leaves a red stain behind.
